We've been sending out all the envelopes and packages today. Depending on where you live you can expect your Letters goodies to arrive in a few days or weeks.
Handing them over to the post office and seeing your names on the address labels was kind of emotional. Our Kickstarter journey has been an exciting one. But also a lot more intense and stressful than we thought.
We worked hard on the game, campaign and rewards but YOU made the whole thing a success!
Your support will bring Sarah’s story to life. We will always be grateful for that.

Hey, friends!
Today's update will be short and sweet but packed with a lot of cool stuff 😉 We're buried in a bunch of envelopes, packaging material and scraps of paper. That means we are packaging your rewards! 🤩
A quick heads up for the “Lovely Clone” and “One of us!” backers: The handwritten letters and friendship bracelets will come a little bit later as an extra special delivery. Selina, our artist, is also busy drawing your portraits. She puts a lot of love in every single one and we can’t wait to send them to you soon. 💌
Other than that we are working on Letters at full throttle. But don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated about the progress! 💚

Hey, friends 💚
How are you holding up? We haven’t updated you in a while so we got 3 cool things to share this time 😃
Firstly a quick update on your rewards. There is an end in sight! It’s still going slowly but it shouldn’t take much longer before we can order and eventually ship your rewards.
Thank you all for being patient with us and our suppliers. It will be worth the wait because everything we have gotten already looks super cute. We are really happy how the the stickers, pins and co turned out and we think you’ll love them too. 🥳
Now let’s talk about development 🔧
When we started our Letters journey we were mainly focused on the game mechanic and riddles apart from the visuals. That means for the longest time the story served as a playing field for us to create the most interesting riddles in. In the last year however we got the feeling that this is not enough. Inspired by feedback we got from people like you, who played our demo and care about the game, we decided to change a few things… 😲
Don’t worry, we’ll keep the riddles, bad puns and beautiful visuals! We didn’t take away anything, instead we shifted our focus a little bit.
Letters is a narrative game. One where you can make decisions for Sarah and change how her story will unfold. So the story needs to be good, right? That’s why we spent the last 5 months on improving, extending and deepening the story. ✏️
We now focus on Sarah’s journey on how to pursue her dreams, confront her fears and learn how to find the right words to express her emotions. This might seem quite straight forward but we all know that it’s not easy to be open and vulnerable about our feelings and follow our own path, despite what others might say. ❤️
It’s a little scary to admit but the story of Letters is in parts a very personal one. We used difficult and impactful situations that we’ve been through to shape Sarah’s thoughts and journey. We let ourselves be vulnerable and open to connect with you through shared experiences, hopes, pain and lessons learned. To us, that’s what a good story is all about. 💌
But let us know how you feel about that. We for our part are happy how the story and redesigned levels turned out and we can’t wait to let you experience it! 😍
Talking about finding words and good stories… We also would like to give you a game recommendation today. 😀 Our good friend Mark Backler and his team just released their wonderful game Lost Words: Beyond the Page on Google Stadia! 🥳🥳🥳
So if you love word-based puzzle platformers, unique visuals and touching stories, you should definitely give Lost Words a try. They also released a free demo on their Steam page, if you don’t have Google Stadia yet.
We are definitely big fans of the game (and not just because we’re friends with Mark 😉).
Give the game a try and follow them on social media if you like creative and sweet puzzle games.

Hey friends 💚
The past days and weeks have been difficult for all of us. We devs are doing well, but we too are feeling the effects of the crisis.
There are still people who didn't fill out the survey or don’t answer our messages anymore but we don’t want to press anybody in a situation like this. Of course we still try to contact them regularly so that we can send out all the rewards in the near future but it might take a while until we hear back from everyone.
Of course the delivery of all the physical rewards takes longer too, because in many places the factories are working slower or suspended production. Either way, we have to postpone the shipping a bit. We hope you understand that. We are trying our best to ship the rewards in summer but we can’t promise anything since it’s unclear how the pandemic will evolve in the next weeks and months.
Thank you for being patient and understanding. As a little treat, we wanted to show you the first batch of pins! 😍

We are working from home at the moment but that doesn’t mean we’re spending our time idly. 💪 We wanted Sarah to be more expressive so she got some new animations to express her emotions:
