Hi Friends!
We have something spooky for you 👻
Last week we dressed up as zombie versions of some characters from Letters and streamed the Demo. It was our first stream ever, so as you can imagine it went perfectly splendid - the camera was weirdly blurred, we got lost in all the parameters and settings and we even found a bug during the stream. But Halloween is supposed to be scary, right?
And these are the characters we're representing:
From left to right: Aleksandra as a reaper, Selina as Sarah's best friend Lia, Martina as a cat which is also a groom.
Our friends from Treecer, creators of the brilliant tabletop game "Darwin's Choice", are on Kickstarter again with their new project "P'achakuna". It's a strategic 2 player game with a unique, modular board. And they have lama plushies 🦙
The game concept was created by two students of the Zurich University of the Arts, it's where our team has met and the idea of Letters was born. So we expect "P'achakuna" to be a great game!

Hi friends!
We hope you’re all doing fine. 💚
We are doing great ourselves. Some of us (basically the one who is writing this update) started working on a super cool level which we’d love to tell you ALL about but alas, it would be a spoiler so we can’t… 😶
Instead we wanted to show you a little gif!
In writing, people always tell you to “kill your darlings”, which means that you shouldn’t hold onto bits of writing or characters just because you like them if they don’t add anything to the story.
The three of us got quite used to killing our darlings, but this time we not only decided to hold onto one... we revived an old friend!

On a more substantial note! Two of our friends are on Kickstarter with some very cool projects.
The first one is Johnny Lionface by Myroid-Type Comics which is a colorful, story driven Action RPG with a lot of humor and cute characters. We know Isa who is the programmer of the team and we know how much love and awesomeness she puts in all her games so we know it will be a great title. 😍 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/myroidtc/johnny-lionface
The second one will be the new game of Stray Fawn Studio. The creators of Niche - A Genetics Survival Game and Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor. Their new baby is called Wandering Village and will be a city builder game taking place on the back of a giant wandering creature. We know it will be just as beautiful, smart and adorable as Niche. (If not better!)

What we did in summer

Hi friends!
How's your summer going so far? We decided to enjoy the last warm days by taking a week off. It was nice to not stare at a screen for seven days, let the sun shine on our noggins and get some more sleep than usual. And now we're back at the office to put that new energy to work!
Development news
Last month we polished one of our levels that is set inside Sarah's computer desktop. And since the internet is about 86% cat content, we added a bunch of cats in that level too. (With the right words you'll even be able to pet them!)
... or get even more cats!
Of course there are also dangerous things on the internet, like viruses. But don't worry, we made them cute for you. (Disclaimer: You can't pet the viruses)
Growing up is a rollercoaster of emotions and we want to strap you in tight so that you can follow all of Sarah's ups and downs. So now we're doing visual experiments to figure out how we can let you feel Sarah's mental state.
Warning, it is still very much work in progress!
Discord news
Letters is all about words and bad jokes, so we decided to run a pun contest in our Discord and made a gif with the winning pun. We had a lot of fun reading through all the suggestions so we'll definitely run another contest again. Join the discord if you want to participate too and have us bring your pun to live... eeh gif!

Swiss Games Steam Sale and Mac Demo

We hope all the physical rewards have been shipped out to you safely. Let us know if you haven’t received your package yet.
Our artist Selina has drawn and sent out the digital portraits of all the people who already sent us their photo. They came out lovely! So if you are a Lovely Clone, One of us! or Producer backer and want your portrait drawn too, send us a picture of yourself and Selina will be happy to put you on (digital) paper as well. 📷 We also sent out the pen pal letters some of you got as a reward. We haven’t written a proper letter by hand in a long long time so it was a bit odd at first but as we got the hang of it, it felt quite peaceful and nostalgic. We can highly recommend it! 💌

Hey, friends!
We are pleased to hear that some of you already got your physical rewards. We hope the rest of the packages will arrive safely too. Seeing your photos on social media and reading your messages showed us that you liked all the Letters goodies which makes us really happy! 🤩
In the meantime, please check out our friend's Kickstarter campaign for their impressive jigsaw puzzle collection. They depict the beauty of wildlife and are produced environmentally friendly. So if you love animals and nature or if you're just an avid puzzler, that collection might be just the thing for you.
